Pictures from the Past few weeks.

Since Carissa’s graduation I’ve been slipping on updating my blog at a consistent matter. To those following, I apologize; I promise I have not left the house without the camera. The following images is a collection of what I have been up to for the past couple of weeks. Please enjoy and may God bless your day.

As some of you may know, a few months ago Carissa bought a Canon XS. We decided to head down to Pasadena and snap a few shots so I can teach about her camera’s different functions and what her settings need to be in different situations. To my surprise, whenever brick walls are in the background of a portrait, Carissa always seems to compose them better than me. Praise God for a quick learner!

I went over to my Uncle Jonah’s house only to be greeted by my two precious and youngest cousins! It is always a blessing to see their smiling face and I pray God will continue to mold them into women that are after our heavenly father’s heart.

Graduation!

Last Thursday Carissa finally finished high school! God has truly blessed her these past graciously given years through friends and family. Now we see Him leading her life towards Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Though life is filled with uncertainties, one thing is certain; God is leading her through the already paved road. So my prayer is that through college she would be able to be blessed with friends that she can enjoy fellowship with. I pray that she not only succeeds in her academic career, but she continues to build upon her relationship with Christ. Through the years ahead of her in college, I pray God mold and shape her into a woman with a fearful heart after the Lord; a woman that will glorify God in all that she does. I pray that God will come and be glorified and praised through Carissa’s life. I pray that in times of need and trouble, she will have constant reminders that she can trust our Heavenly father. I pray that her faith never grow weary. Amen.

Laura & Euna’s Santa Monica Vigil

Last night was 1 of many vigils were held for journalist Laura Ling and Euna Lee that are being detained in North Korea.

I pray that God grant them and their families in this time of trouble comfort. For only in God can there ever be peace. Provide strength for our two sisters and I pray that their faith grow ever stronger in the situation you have placed them in. Our God is an awesome God and he will continue to reign as he pleases. So I pray that he show mercy upon these two women and his love will overflow into their hearts while they are in their separate cells. God has taken everything away from them except the one thing that matters; himself. So please Lord, Bring comfort into their hearts and lets their faith grow stronger in you; you are all they have left to hold onto. Whether you deliver them now, later, or never, continue to provide comfort and lets us all trust in you and in your will. There is nothing in man’s will that will allow the release of these two women. It is your will. So I pray, that as we trust in you, we will wait patiently for your timing. As we trust in you, I pray that You would come and claim your glory and you will show the world that you are sovereign over all things. You are all we want, you are all we need; we are here for you, we are after you. so come and reign over our lives God. Whatever the outcome maybe in this situation, you are God and you are good. You have given and you have taken away, and still we will say, blessed be your name. Amen.

Prom Dress

Okay, So I do have a picture of Carissa with her dress fully shown!

Old, but decided to Share.

I was running through some old files on my computer when I came across this image. I took it while playing with Carissa’s Canon XS when I was teaching her how to use her camera. Not until recently did this image really catch my attention. I love the delicate positioning and angle her shoulders are to the camera. The way her thumb is snuggled within her left pocket is a very timid detail which still strikes a powerful statement in body language.

Prom ‘09

I am very disappointed with myself for not taking as many pictures as I should. Carissa looked absolutely stunning last night and the world will never know. I guess I will have to treasure the memory by myself. ^_^ Thank you for a lovely evening; I could not have been anymore blessed.

Spring Break ‘09

I know I haven’t updated in a while but I’ve been very busy with school. But break brought about some wonderful God blessed images to my heart.

Austin And Jean Tsai’s Wedding

I am very happy with how these shots came out. I do wish I took more. I guess I still have a confidence issue to overcome. But I guess event photography really isn’t my thing =P My readers can decide more me. I have a slideshow being prepared at this moment so hopefully I’ll have that up and running soon enough! Enjoy the pictures!!!

Preparation for Tomorrow

“Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and hgave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish. In the same way husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church, because we are members of his body. “Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.” This mystery is profound, and I am saying that it refers to Christ and the church. However, let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband. ”

I’m quite excited to be shooting at Austin and Jean’s wedding tomorrow. I have no idea of the conditions that will be presented to me (I know I’m oh so prepared). But I hope for the best. I’m not the main photographer of the night so I guess that relieve the pressure off myself, but I do hope to do my best. I pray for the best for Austin and Jean and hope that I live up to the essence of my philosophy as a photographer and a child of God.

For inspiration, I came across wedding photographer Ben Chrisman.

Maybe what attracts me to these photos is its the simplicity. No matter what the case maybe, I hope I can compare come tomorrow.

NEW BLOG!!!

Its a new day today and I thought I would change it up a bit. I’ve created a new blog for the site using wordpress which is simply amazing! I’m still trying to figure out how I want to format this section of the site so you may notice minor changes here and there. I’m not going to be posting anything new for Today’s post (I haven’t lately -_-’) but coming next month I assure you some fantastic images! For now, here are some random shots from the past.
